In 2020 The Comfy Chair will be going wild(er)…
Following the successful launch in Summer 2019, we asked the Comfy Chair community what they would like to see next year if they were to attend:
One of the most important things that the survey indicated was that everyone wanted more space: Space to walk, space to reflect and space simply ‘be’.
The things that people really valued were the sense of community (especially in regards to communal mealtimes!), the outdoorsy environment was very important as was the chance to share ideas and opinions in an accepting, non-judgemental environment.
In 2020, The Comfy Chair will be heading into the woods for a more outdoorsy, eco-based experience.
There will be trees
There will be fire pits
There will group cooking
There will be a sense of togetherness, without loosing the space to breath as individuals.
I am hugely excited to introduce my co-host for 2020 as Zena Cooper of http://www.readingforwellbeing.org.uk/
‘Reading for Wellbeing is a Kent based project aimed at getting people into reading for pleasure whilst improving their well-being and social inclusion.’
We have some exciting new workshops/experiential activities, all designed specifically for Counsellors & Psychotherapists and supporting the fundamental drive of Comfy Chair: Build community, value diversity and encourage connection.
